Tax Essentials for Artists
Unlocking Your Artistic Voice Online with Strategy & Intention
Through stories of real artists, musicians and writers, Elaine will connect the dots between what artists do day-to-day to create and share their work and how they document their income and expenses. She will demystify sales tax, self-employment tax and other potentially intimidating tax procedures. You will leave this tax workshop feeling empowered and armed with practical tools to optimize your tax return.
In one-on-one advising sessions in the afternoon, Elaine will help you create a custom bookkeeping system using the tools you have available or help troubleshoot and improve the way you already track your income and spending.
Karen Jacobson will discuss opportunities to fund growth of your art-based business.
Mountain Arts District will lead a roundtable discussion as attendees pop out to their one-on-one sessions with Elaine.
