Woodlands Development Group is hiring a dedicated construction journeyman to join our team. Woodlands is a non-profit organization, dedicated to serving our community through the development of quality affordable housing, and other community assets. The ideal applicant will be interested in applying their skills in the construction trades to better our communities.

As a member of our construction team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to residential construction, operating and maintaining various tools and equipment, and following directions from supervisors and other skilled crew members. Pre-requisites for employment include being physically fit, dependable, and a hard worker; employees will also be responsible for providing their own transportation to the jobsite. Jobsites are typically located in Randolph, Barbour, and Tucker Counties.

Duties and requirements:

  • Operate and care for equipment
  • Work as a team, assisting other crew members as needed
  • Follow worksite safety protocols, including maintaining a clean site
  • Load and unload construction materials
  • Follow instructions from supervisors

Qualifications and responsibilities:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift more than 50lbs
  • Capable of working on ladders
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must be able to work M-TH 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m

  • Rough Carpentry
  • Finish Carpentry
  • Concrete
  • Plumbing
  • Drywall
  • Insulation installation
  • Roofing
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Masonry
  • Painting Exterior Finish Work
