Small Business Solutions for Barbour County
Woodlands is excited to be taking part in a new group created to support existing and encourage new small businesses in Barbour County.
While the group’s objectives will be member-driven we envision that the group will problem solve common small business issues, coordinate events and sales, and become a clearinghouse for local opportunities and resources of value to the unique small business community in Barbour County.
Small and locally owned businesses form the heart and soul of Barbour County. This spring and summer we have seen a constant stream of ribbon-cuttings and newly occupied storefronts, showing that our business community is actively growing. We hope to increase the chances of success for these new businesses, accelerate growth for established enterprises, and inspire others to turn their passions and talents into new businesses that become community assets.
The group is open to anyone who owns or aspires to start or own a small business or organization and will meet regularly in both Philippi and Belington throughout the year.
The first meeting will take place in downtown Philippi on July 11th from 5:30-7pm. The second meeting will be in Belington later in July. Watch this space, or our Facebook (@WDG.WCL) or Instagram (@woodlandswv) accounts for updates.
