Small Business Grant Recipients Announced

Woodlands Development & Lending is proud to announce recipients of our Spring Forward Small Business Grant Opportunity. We received over 80 proposals for this quick turnaround, $500 grant and were able to make 22 awards to small businesses located throughout the Mon Forest Region of West Virginia.

Local food establishments, recreation outfitters, small farms, specialty trade contractors and more shared their proposals for what would help them market their products, streamline their processes or add new services. The recipients represent the diversity and wide variety of small businesses active in our economy.

“We’ve had an overwhelming response to this grant program, which tells us just how important small funding assistance like our Spring Forward Grant Opportunity are really beneficial in helping businesses take that next step towards growth” said Marti Jefferson, Woodlands’ Business Advisor.

Wraparound support Woodlands provides can help address the challenges both startup and established businesses face in today’s marketplace.

Woodlands’ mission to assist nonprofit and for-profit businesses by providing access capital and technical assistance, pays dividends in communities across the ten-county Mon Forest Region; helping to provide a better quality of life and employment for residents while contributing to the overall recreation economy.
